WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Clothing
Layering is key. Mornings can be cold in the mountains, even in the summertime. We recommend you bring or wear clothes to keep you warm in lower temperatures (40ᵒ-50ᵒ) and be prepared to shed layers to accommodate warmer weather (70ᵒ-85ᵒ).

Sun protection is important on the water. Our guides wear long sleeves and plenty of sunscreen.

A rain jacket is also advised, if applicable. Your guide will let you know if this is necessary.

Footwear
We recommend footwear to stay cool and comfortable on our float trips. For our mountain streams, we recommend hiking style shoes, water proof or wading capable. Your guide can advise you on specifics and answer any questions.

Eyewear
We highly recommend polarized sunglasses. Eye protection is very important on the water and polarized sunglasses help see through the water.

Tackle
We can provide all the fishing tackle necessary to be successful on the water. However, we do encourage you to try your own gear. Your guide can advise you on the tackle you will need for your trip.

Virginia Fishing License
Each angler needs a valid Virginia Freshwater fishing license. You can find the Virginia's state or county license online here:
